- My four blessings from God: Short Stuff, Little Man, Tinker, and Sprout.
- A wonderful husband who loves me and provides for our family. A man that loves God and desires to follow Him.
- Protection as we have stepped out of the box and traveled over the past three years.
- The wonderful Christian friends that the Lord has put in our paths.
- The vision that the Lord has given this family and the tools in which to fulfill that vision.
- Family that cares enough to tell us what they think.
- Food to fill our tummies, a roof over our heads, shoes on our feet and clothes on our backs.
- A country that is still free.
- A church home that supports the family.
- BOOKS! I love books.
This is my place. This is life as we live it. Come on in and laugh and cry with us.

Mish Mash
With the new baby and the opening of our new business, All Things Granola, I'm just busy, busy, busy! So this post is a mixture of pictures from our recent family life. Enjoy!
First one up is my girls. They wanted to carry their babies around like mommy, so here they are strutting their new baby wraps! These were so easy to make. Since they are not carrying real babies, they didn't need the stretchiness of a wrap to support the baby. So I just used some leftover muslim and made it long enough to wrap around their little bodies.
Next two are Little Man with his newest baby sister. He really loves being a big brother!
And last, but definately not least - God's promise to us! These speak for themselves. Aren't they beautiful??

Although this is a terrible picture of myself, I had to include it. Katy, aka the bull dog, gets a little jealous from time to time. She wants a little mommy time too!
Although this one is a little gross, my son would not have it any other way. The man in him screams, "Look at my wound!" His first stitches - he is so proud. If you can't tell, this is his leg, directly under his knee. He had 5 stitches.
And last, but definately not least - God's promise to us! These speak for themselves. Aren't they beautiful??

On our upcoming President . . .
I went to bed sick to my stomach at the news that Obama will soon take the role of our President. I was upset at something I can't change. I've stewed over it for a few days, read the news, listened to talk radio, read my Bible, prayed, and read a few others' opinions. The post I read this morning is a great outlook on how we Christians should look to the future.
Thanks Becky for mentioning this great post!

Christmas is coming . . .
Are you ready??
Every year we do a lot of homemade gifts. We've made venison jerky, baby doll cradles, aprons, clothes, stained glass and so much more! This year we plan on the same. Projects in the works are dresses and pantaloons for the girls and a puppet stage for all the kiddos. As Christmas nears we are gathering recipes for our baked gifts.
We are also planning on supporting family businesses this year. We will be purcahsing some gifts from families and avoiding the mega-stores this year. A wonderful collection of family businesses can be located at the Shop-A-Thon. Check it out!
Let me hear your ideas. What will you be doing this Christmas??
