For all the curious readers out there - YES My husband has joined the Army!
We are now a military family and will soon be traveling the US. All prayers are welcome. We are very excited about this new Johnson Adventure, but the decision to join was not made lightly. After a lot of prayer and research and discussion, we feel God has led us to this decision. My biggest reservation about the whole thing is our Commander in Chief, but we trust in our Lord to protect us. Walking the path of a Christian doesn't mean that we will be kept from all harm, but that we will be brought through it with a stronger relationship with our Lord and Savior.
My husband choosing to join the Army at age 30 has its drawbacks, but we are up for the challenge. Please pray that he will have the strength needed to survive Basic Training as "the old man". Please pray that he will find favor with his authorities. Please pray as I "single" parent it for 6 months. And then there is the possibility of him being shipped overseas after training.
