The Next Chapter of our Life

As we embark on the latest Johnson Adventure, I felt it would be appropriate for me to journal our journey.

Daddy has been gone since January 19. He graduates April 9!! We are so ready to see him.

Time has gone fast. We do miss him terribly. The hardest part of the whole thing is not being able to talk to him daily. The longest I had to go without hearing from him was a week and a half. We haven't had much phone time, with the exception of this Sunday. But the letters he has written me will be cherished forever! This has been a really growing time in our relationship.

My husband has been so grateful for our relationship and can't imagine trying to do this without our committment to each other. He has met many men with new wives and new babies. How testing for them! We live in a time and society that doesn't always cherish the marital commitments. That could be a scary thing for the couple that doesn't have that strong comittment. Anyway, I'm thankful for my wonderful husband.

We have kept ourselves busy with visiting with friends and travelling. We staying in our home town for a few weeks after Daddy left. Then we headed for AL to visit with my mom and my AL friends. Currently we are in Ohio on a little vacation.

We have appreciated everyones generosity and help, but we really wanted some time for just us. Many friends and family want to help, but it gets a little overwhelming. We are doing fine and I haven't had any major crisis I couldn't handle, but I know who to call if I do ever have a problem. I have used this time to research the Army and the particular bases my husband is attending training at. We have continued school as normal, but added in some fun things to do and see!

We look forward to seeing Daddy again. We are very proud of Daddy and are proud of his decision to serve this country.
